Rehabilitation Program for Huntington’s Chorea Patients

Between June 17 – 30 this year, Huntington’s chorea patients had a chance to come and spend some time at our Center. The visit was designed to take advantage of our special rehabilitation program, including not just rehabilitation oriented to improve patient functionality but also a wonderful opportunity to exchange experiences with other patients and their families how to cope with everyday challenges posed by the disease. Various workshops, barbecues, and trips taken together proved an excellent way to integrate and show the patients that physical disability does not preclude “normal” functioning and must not lead to social exclusion.
